City Views

Here are some city aspects I have been noticing lately.

This parking garage is near Soda City Market in Columbia, SC.
Heading towards Soda City on Main Street.
This building has these cool towers on the street that provide up lighting on top.
A groovy building.
This triangular building edge is eye catching since it is so close to the structure next to it.
A gong! It reads "For 30 years, Marvin Cernoff, head of Columbia's Chernoff/Silver Advertising Agency, sounded a gong to celebrate creative excellence, big ideas, and success. Turn the handle, ring this gong and signal your own success!"
Some gorgeous doorways.
By the Convention Center there is a moving 9/11 tribute.
The monument contains 2 towers to symbolize "resolve". two fallen pieces of the towers "so we never forget our fallen". The crossed beams from the WTC to remind us "we are a united nation of one".
Lastly are charming storefronts of Greenwood, SC.
An amazing job has been done here combining the old and new.
I hope you enjoyed the strolling of city streets.

Thank you for stopping by! ~Val

  10. The 9/11 tribute is so poignant. It made me think of the one we have in central London, for the 7/7 bombings.
    Love all your pictures.
