Garden Update!

Wood Eyeglass Chain
My wood eyeglass chains always do well. I love their earthy feel! This is my latest available at Etsy.
Garden Update
My lilies are showing!

See the bug on this one?
Well he is missing a hind leg, but that is not stopping him from living!
This little guy posed for a photo too!
I have glamorous dragonflies buzzing about but they did not want their photo taken.
The hydrangea are in bloom. I actually prefer them just before they are in full bloom with the bit of yellow in the center!
Silly Emmett
Some toys have multiple purposes!
Healing Update
So much better! I have graduated from seeing the doctor weekly!  Woohoo! There is now 2 weeks between my last appointment and the next. Hopefully that is it! Yes my pupil is still large but I have learned to accept that in case it is with me to stay. My 3 month post op will be in September and by then I should know exactly what my vision will be.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you are having a wonderful summer. ~Val

This Week's Blog Post

Dolphin
Here is my latest Peruvian ceramic bead. A dolphin!
This lanyard is available at Miss Val’s Creations.
Mulch
The mulching is done for the year! 4 yards! Yes, mucho mulch. I went with a brown tone this year as my tastes are changing.
Jim helped and we actually got it all spread in 1.25 hours. When I do it by myself it basically takes me all day. Not fun!
Here is the side of my driveway which is all me! When I bought the house this was all weeds and no fence. It will have color throughout the warm season but none yet except for those forsythia at the end. As you can see, I need to buy a broom!
One of my rhododendrons is blooming!
My azalea is blooming. I do not care for this plant, but close up the flowers are neat!
My forsythia is almost all turned to green.
My redbud is blooming again!
Cardinal
This cardinal has been hanging out in my backyard. It looks like he is wearing a disguise with sunglasses and a big beard.

He is really tiny and it is my first time seeing a baby cardinal like this! It is so cute seeing a spot of red hoping through the grass (although my yard is more like a mess of weeds since I do not like chemicals or wasting water)!
Emmett
My sweet little Emmett. His eyes opened when I was annoying him with the camera again!
This poor little guy has the worst breath of any cat I have ever come across in my life!!! I found dental water at the pet store and it actually seems to be working! It is flavorless and odorless so my feline friends do not know they are cleaning their mouths while drinking!

Thank you for stopping by! Enjoy the beautiful season! ~Val

I am having fun using Etsy and trying to find my groove. There is so much going on there and it feels like you can spend the whole day hanging on Etsy. But that would not be productive, would it?

I think I interrupted an intimate conversation here. Emmett and Alice spend the day on my bed. So cute.

It is pretty obvious which is the girl and which is the boy. ;) The fuzzy brown blanket is laid out each morning to protect my bedding from getting nasty!!!

I wish everyone a wonderful week and will leave you with this photo of Simon Beck’s artwork. This is certainly something I have never seen before!

He creates art in the snow using his skills from being a mapmaker. So amazing since the images are huge! Can you see the little people in the foreground? He is also the art’s photographer. See more here.
