Fun Lanyards
I got a chance to make the monkey lanyard!
The llama lanyard.
The giraffe lanyard.
I still need to make the owl lanyard! I just love these
Peruvian cuties!!!
I am contemplating a
big move and that is shutting down my website and sticking with eBay and Etsy.
The reason being is the website requires so much maintenance and as I get
busier, it is difficult to stay on top of. I certainly do not want this cutting
into my Pinterest playtime and blog reading time! Decisions, decisions!
Purple Cheese Fondue
Yes, purple. Since Jim and I do not drink white wine, we
used red. I did find one recipe online that called from red zinfandel so I knew
this was not completely unheard of!
I know, it looks nasty. But trust me, it was delicious!
We used 8 ounces of sharp cheddar, 8 ounces of monterey jack
and 1 cup of wine. That’s it! Well a little cornstarch too to thicken it. Since
I have a difficult time digesting garlic, we left that out.
The best part was Jim’s idea, roasted potatoes!
We also roasted cauliflower,
broccoli and
zuchinni before
dipping!!!!
Another idea we did was raw red pepper chunks and grape
tomatoes. Mmmm!
The best part was that this was totally fun!!!!
Well thank you all for stopping by! I am wishing you a fun,
creative week! ~Val
Wow, you've been busy Val!
ReplyDeleteThose lanyards turned out great!! I love all sorts of roasted veggies - I haven't tried dipping them in cheese fondue with red wine though ;-)
Hi Val, purple is my favorite color so, purple veggies would actually make me eat more of them. : )
ReplyDeleteThe lanyards are all lovely, the 2nd being my favorite.
I hear ya about the website stuff...I've made ETSY and my blog , my official sites for my business cards, simply because I can take care of them with very little effort and these days, that means a lot.
I guess you are about as sick of this deep freeze as I am. I'll try to hang in there till Wed, supposed to be in the 50's here. Hope you warm up soon too.
Ruth
I know what you mean. There is so much to juggle these days with social media. It is so important for business too so I am trying to focus on the ones that are enjoyable for me. :) Yes, I am tired of these ridiculously cold temps. We are going to have the 50s this week too. Woohoo!
DeleteLove those Peruvian cuties too! I am also going to give that cheese fondue a try. Sounds yummy!
ReplyDeleteLike I said, you always find the best ways to use those neat appliances. The food and fondue look so yummy. And I do love the lanyards. I think the giraffe one is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI think it's interesting that you're considering closing your website. I'm actually considering the opposite. I'm not on eBay, but I am on Etsy. However, I want a space to call my own and not have to continue to pay fees per purchase. There's still a lot to think about, so I can see your dilemma even if it is on the flip side.
Fun new lanyards...love the giraffe :)
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your big move. I've been contemplating adding my own website as fees from paypal and etsy can kill a girl, but it's nice to hear some honest input about the time it takes to manage it. Maybe I'll just stick with what works :)
Love your wine glass...wink, wink :)
And the cheese sounds yummy!
YUM! great idea to use red wine - I bet it was delicious! Love those lanyards - really cute themes!
ReplyDeletei didn't know you had an etsy shop :/ I added you to my circles in one of the shops but the other one etsy won't let me because they said my circle is bursting. Good luck on your decisions!
ReplyDeleteI like the giraffe lanyard the best ;)
Your purple cheese fondue looks so good! What a great idea!! I love all your lanyards! Wow! I have to admit my friend, I didn't realize you had an Etsy, until I saw you favorite some of my things. You have to do what is best for you! I know some people stretch themselves too thin and it's not good! I have my blog and and Etsy and that's it. I might now join Pinterest. Personally, I think it's best not to be stretched everywhere, you can concentrate more on what you create and how you socialize ;o) Big Hugs ;o)
ReplyDeletethat looks soo yummy!!!!i love cheese XD i wouldn't know which one i like best... the second one is like really summery ;)

ReplyDeleteLove your lanyards! They turned out great!
ReplyDeleteIt's not easy to manage all social medias but I am doing it like feel it. Sometimes I care more about my blog (not at the moment) and sometimes I am more in the shops. But do as you feel! Don't stress yourself.
Take care!
THAT FONDUE looks something that must make! i love your all ideas ~

ReplyDeleteThose lanyards are wonderful, and I am enjoying mine very much. No more searching for glasses that I never wear, but can never find when I do need them! :-)
Thanks so much, and you have a wonderful week ahead.

I love how you used those Peruvian beads! Great job. The cheese does look a little strange in colour, but I am sure it was delicious, lol!
ReplyDeleteI love your lanyards, your animal bead are so cute. I think your fondue looks yummy and I bet red wine gave it a unique flavor. Roasting your veggies was a great idea.
