Halloween Fun at the Farmers Market

There is a quite a display of creepy clowns, freaky children and spooky skeletons this year at the State Farmers Market in Columbia, SC.
The organizers here must have a blast setting up these animated, disturbing objects! I wonder how many little kids have nightmares after seeing these.

Happy Halloween! Thank you for stopping by! ~Val

Fall Flower and Plant Show

The Fall Plant and Flower Show at the State Farmer's Market in Columbia, SC was full of autumn goodness.
Loaded with pumpkins and chrysanthemums.
Plenty of decor to decorate the outside of the home for the season.

There was also a variety of garden decor.
These pieces move beautifully in the gentle wind.
Some pieces were more whimsical.

Since we are in the market for a bench to go in our butterfly garden, these textured pretties caught our attention.
As always, the prices are amazing here.

I hope you enjoyed this look at the autumn offerings at the State Farmer's Market.

Thank you for stopping by! ~Val

Flower and Plant Show

We stopped by a recent Flower and Plant Show at the State Farmers Market in Columbia, SC and what a treat!
There were fruit trees.
Below is a lemon tree. I never knew what its flowers were like until seeing this one.
This is a hanging pitcher plant. If you are unfamiliar with these it is a carnivores plant. The insects fly into them for the sweet stuff but the plant closes in on them and that is it for the insect!
This exotic one caught my eye below.
There was plenty of unique decor to choose from.
I was particularly enamored with these whimsically crafted fountains.
There were some really fun air plants which seem to be quite trendy today. Hopefully a permanent trend!
Pods to decorated with using small plants. The coconut shell is such a fun idea.
Definitely a feast for the eyes.
We have tons of baby plants in our yard right now and need to see how they behave before buying more. There is a learning curve here now being in a new climate with many different plants.

Since this is an annual event we be back next year. The prices and selection were fantastic! The experienced shoppers came here with wagons ready to fill up with plants. It was quite an affair!
