Rings n Things came to town for the Bead Tour on Saturday. This was my first bead show so I was obviously overwhelmed!!! I didn't really have intentions to purchase any stones, but how could I resist the ridiculously large selection?
I've never seen anything like this dyed composite magnesite before. So cool! These will become a 3 piece set but I haven't decided on what to mix these beads with. They would look fantastic with a grey tone, possibly pyrite.
The next thing that caught my eye was these hematite beads. The rondelles are multi faceted and have amazing shine when the light hits them!!!! I have a feeling I’ll be making something for myself with these beauties!
I LOVE mixed gemstones so I purchased 3 different sized shapes/sizes. There is a great variety in each strand.
Lastly I had to pick up these creepy magnetite skulls. These are perfect for lanyards. Their coloring will be great with wood!!! I may create a Halloween design with these too!
Now that I know what to expect at a bead show I’ll have a plan next time. It is so much more fun shopping for gemstones in person rather than how I usually do so which is online!
Great purchases Val, I know they are coming to my area but I can't go. Love the unusual shaped hematite and the skulls are great!!
ReplyDeleteLOOOOOve the hematite beads!
ReplyDeleteYou got some great stuff! They are coming here next month. I go to their bead show, even though I live in the same city where their warehouse is. Can't beat the savings!
