This Weeks' Blog Post

Southwestern Style Lanyard
I love when customers give me an idea. One of my lanyard customers e-mailed me with this one!

How come I have not come up with the southwestern idea combining turquoise and red for a lanyard before? Brilliant! This one is available at Etsy.

2013 Oscars
I was wowed watching the Oscars pre-show last Sunday! There were so many gorgeous gowns!!! My favorite was this one that Zoe Saldana is wearing.
Zoe Saldana in Alex Mabille
The Yahoo Red Carpet Report Card only gave it a C+. I found it fabulous!!! It has three amazing elements with that neckline, a belt and that contrasting train!

Here are some of my other favorites of the night! Not much color, but many stunners!
Naomi Watts in Armani Prive
Nicole Kidman is always elegant.
Nicole Kidman in L'Wren Scott
Amanda Seyfreid in Alexander McQueen
This was a sexy number!
Naomie Harris in Viviene Westwood
This gown is amazing!
Jennifer Lawrence in Dior

Gorgeous gold!
Catherine Zeta-Jones in Zuhair Murad

Charlize Theron in Dior

Halle Berry in Versace
Have a great, creative weeks ahead. Thank you for stopping by! ~Val

  2. Love Jennifer Lawrence's dress. I think all (designer and women) are afraid of wearing a princess dress but I love them. And in my opinion when wearing such precious gowns one should have a put-up hairdo.

  8. How pretty -- nothing says southwestern like turquoise eh? Is it weird that I was completely indifferent to the Oscars? I missed it entirely, but I see from your post that Catherine Zeta Jones looked lovely as always.

  9. I visited New Mexico and was blown away with the color designs there. I was convinced that I was going to have a Southwestern inspired room in my house. That would have been a totally room and I didn't do it in the end, but I still love the turquoise and other colors and beads of that style. You should make more. I like turquoise and silver too.

  15. Hi Val,

Love your southwestern look, the blue and red so pretty. Isn't it funny, sometimes people requests give us ideas etc and we're amazed we never before thought of such a thing.

I think my favorite dress is Nicole Kidman's...very pretty and elegant but figure hugging too.

Hope you will have a great week. Hope our weather stays warmer and none of the white stuff hits us in the northeast.
