This Week's Blog Post

Blue Earrings
These pretties are mountain jade that is dyed a beautiful royal blue! Available at Etsy.

A ride up the coast!
Always good for the soul!!!
We ended up in our favorite town of Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
I always love these trees and their cool curvy branches!
Healing Update
I no longer need to see my eye doctor every week! It will be 2 weeks before my next appointment and hopefully after that, just my 3 month post op! My left pupil is still huge but she says that it is better if my pupil stays in one place while the swelling is healing. Otherwise cells and "stuff" float around and can hinder the healing. I love when doctors use terms like "stuff" instead of the scary medical terms. It just sounds less intimidating.

It sounds quite possible that my body has decided to maintain a large pupil until the swelling goes down further and then may go back to normal. The body is a fascinating thing!

My doctor also does not feel there is a systemic issue of some disease underlying either. When she sees patients this type of uveitis who do have other issues, she says they walk differently. Basically it really affects them. I do not feel any different. That also made me super happy. I feel like I am getting my spark back which was dying for a couple of weeks!!!

July has been a super busy month for my business. Why July? I have no idea but busy is always a good thing! So it has been difficult to make my blogging rounds but hopefully I will be on track again soon.

Thank you for stopping by! ~Val

Glad to hear that you don't have to visit the eye doctor every week now. That's progress, and progress is good. Maybe in time that pupil will go back to normal. Like you said, the body is a fascinating thing!

  13. Hi Val,

So glad your eyes are doing well. I'm sure when your pupil is ready and only when it decides it is ready, it will go down to normal size.

I don't think I've ever been to NH....loved your photos. Your earrings of course, as always, are beautiful. I hope you have a great weekend with Jim ahead.

  17. Whew! You're right. The body is super amazing. Everything is connected in a way that is super fascinating. When your eye finishes healing, I think it will go down to size.

Love the curvy tree limbs photo. That would make a very interesting silhouette.
