We have been slowly adding window treatments. It is amazing how a little fabric can make a house feel more like a home!
I chose this pretty print for our bedroom. It is darling next to the radiator!
When chatting with our boiler service man, we found out that people are paying around $3,000 for these things. Vintage is so in! I am thankful the prior owners kept these beauties!
The green room is a bit wrinkled. I could throw them in the dryer, but that is too much work! The house had been freshly painted before going on the market with the exception of 2 rooms that had wall paper in great condition.
I love the green on green! This room is the supposed to be the gaming room for Jim and his son. Something tells me it is just going to transition into Jim's man cave.
The blue room is our guest room. This neutral tone goes well with the bedding in there. Overall there is a blue, white and taupe theme.
Here is Jim's son's room. I felt the dark curtains will be much appreciated by a teenager, especially on those days of sleeping late. I remember sleeping until 1pm at that age!
Here is my office/dining room. We both loved the print on this one so much I have them same ones on order for the living room which has a crazy 6 windows! It is the same as our bedroom curtains, but different colors.
As a temporary fix to our full bath I put up a tension rod and a valance for this odd shaped window. However this shabby chic piece is growing on me so I think it will stay!
It has some holes in it but hopefully no one can see in. It is much better than the first few days of showering with no window covering at all. Yup, did that!
Thank you for stopping by. Wishing you a fabulous week ahead! ~Val
I'm feeling quite nostalgic about your lovely old rads too! It's been decades since I've seen rads like that in a home or apartment. They were still relatively common when I was young in some older homes.
ReplyDeleteLOVE those old radiators! and all the fabrics look wonderful - I bet it is feeling a lot more like home
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! Window treatments make all the difference! That's thoughtful of you to provide dark curtains for Jim's son :) happy weekend!

ReplyDeleteIt really is amazing how curtains can make a place feel so much more cozy.

Love both the colour and pattern of the brown curtains. Fabric really make a space look more cozy.
ReplyDeleteI love curtains too! Nowadays mostly in apartments they put blinds without the curtain rods for a mod look but I can't do without them! Love the prints you got! They make the space so cozy and homely:)
ReplyDeleteThe curtains matches perfectly with the radiators! Great! Love the prints you choose.
ReplyDeleteIt's starting to look homey Val! I like the curtain pattern you used in your office and bedroom. The term "window treatments" made me smile. I've never heard that used before to describe curtains :D
ReplyDeleteLove that print in your bedroom and dining room. Looks so great with your radiator!
ReplyDeleteI'm a little behind on your blog, so have just been doing some catching up! Those veggie balls look delicious. I am going to try them. Looks like you have made some great curtain choices. The radiator is fabulous!
ReplyDeleteHoly smokes, I didn't know that radiators were going for that much now! Totally cool that you still have them. Love the curtains for your office/dining room!
ReplyDeleteYou brought memories from the past! as a newly wed I had to shower without a shower curtain :( very helpless feeling...
ReplyDeleteNice window treatments :)

ReplyDeleteThe great thing about being both handy AND creative like you are, is you can customize anything and everything to what you imagine! That radiator looks great with what you've picked!
